Not So Scary Vampires

October 14, 2017

Witches, werewolves, zombies, vampires; all the stuff scary movies are made of. What's so scary about eternal youth though? The Twilight movies certainly made the vampire life look pretty good...extremely good if you ask me (Team Edward forever!). Who wouldn't want to look like THOSE vampires? We may not be able to look like movie stars, but with the amazing Vampire procedures, we can revive youthfulness using our body's own healing abilities. Nothing scary about that!

Invented by former Emergency Room physician, Charles Runels, Vampire treatments are truly magical. The basic idea behind them is harvesting the client's own blood, processing it to concentrate the "healing" cells (platelet rich plasma, PRP), then re-injecting it using a trademarked method to precisely and artfully stimulate new tissue growth through stem cells and other healing cells. PRP healing is tried and true, having been used in orthopedics for more than 25 years.

There is a Vampire treatment for almost any area of the body, but probably the most well-known procedures are the Vampire Facelift and Vampire Facial. Kim Kardashian helped put the Vampire Facial on the map when she posted (pretty dramatic) pictures taken after her Vampire Facial. The Facial procedure itself isn't quite as dramatic as the Kardashians make it look, but the results can be. Vampire Facials take about an hour in our office and begin with a quick blood draw. While the blood is being processed, a topical numbing cream is applied to the face (the neck can also be treated). By the time the PRP is ready to go, so is the client. The PRP is then microneedled into the skin using the Rejuvapen device. Most clients describe the sensation as feeling a little like sandpaper.  A second application of PRP after the microneedling completes the process. Other than looking a bit sunburned for a day or two, side-effects are minimal. That's it. Then comes the hard part...waiting.

Vampire procedures begin producing noticeable results within three weeks, but the remodeling process continues for three months, when full results are reached. Some clients continue seeing improvements for 6 months or more. What are the results? Firmer, smoother, more vibrant skin.

What our clients are saying:

        “…life-changing for sure!”

“This is so uplifting to the feminine spirit.”

“I am most pleased with my natural, healthy glow.”

The Vampire Facelift is the "Cadillac" of the Vampire procedures. It combines PRP with hyaluronic acid (filler), injected in a specific method to build a "scaffolding" for new tissue growth. The treatment starts the same as the Vampire Facial. The face is numbed and blood is drawn and processed. While the PRP is being prepared, Juvederm or Restylane is injected using a specific template and according to the client's individual facial structure. Once the PRP is ready, it is injected in a similar way as the filler. Clients report that their faces feel "tight" immediately after treatment, typically resolving within a few hours.  Some clients experience mild bruising, but for most, there is little to no downtime with this incredible service.

Vampire procedures aren't for everyone. If you're on blood thinning medications or want a dramatic reduction in loose skin, these procedures aren't the best choice for you.  If you're hoping for a subtle but noticeable improvement in skin tone, texture, and color and a more youthful appearance overall, the Vampire procedures are an excellent choice.  In fact, we feel so strongly about the results we see with the Vampire procedures, we offer a money-back guarantee if expected results aren't obtained.

Some providers offer "PRP procedures", but only those certified by the American Cosmetic Cellular Medicine Association use the trademarked Vampire technique. At Snake River Aesthetics & MediSpa, we are so proud to be the only providers of the Vampire procedures in the Pocatello region. We have obtained and maintain certification through the ACCMA to provide this amazing service.

Don't be scared! There's still time before the holidays to get your skin looking better than it has in ages. Give us a call today to reserve your appointment or book online 24/7 . Don't forget, we offer free consultations.
